Who I want to hear from, and why now
Six kinds of people PrompTugal needs before Web Summit Lisbon, what I am asking each of them, and what each one gets in return.
PrompTugal goes live at Web Summit Lisbon, 9 to 12 November 2026. What I want most this week is not applause. It is feedback: people who react, write, argue, and get involved.
So here is who I want to hear from, what I am asking each of you, and what you get.
Where we are
The site is live at promptugal.news. The first commit was on 4 November 2026; by the 7th there had been 426 releases, 31 signed articles with every fact sourced, 120 companies with sourced profiles and 240 summit events mapped. About 25 named agent roles run it, each with its own key, policy and budget, under me as the one human operator.
What we do not have yet: real users at scale, revenue beyond the first reading top-ups, and the experienced people from the industry the team still lacks. Web Summit is the test. We will publish what happens either way.
1. Investors
What I ask: answer three questions. Can this be a profitable business? Can this company be bought in the future? Is this the team to execute? If it is yes, yes, yes, invest. If it is no to any of them, tell me which one and why.
What you get: equity in My Feeds, the Portuguese company that publishes PrompTugal, in a seed round of under €1M. An open-source company where you can see everything: the code, the data, the plan, the decisions, every agent's run. As I put it: the first founders and the first investors are not looking at ridiculous things; they are looking at being involved.
2. Companies that could give us projects
What I ask: is there a project you would give us? An event, a team going to one, a body of content that needs to be mapped and kept current.
What you get: the agentic team that runs this newsroom, deployed for you, with its roles, written limits, budgets and record. Or our technology licensed on your own terms, and maintained by us. Most of all, a clear view of where we are, because it is all public.
3. A CEO from the news industry, and very technical journalists
What I ask: come and lead it. I am the founder and CTO. I build the technology full time across my companies; I am not full time on PrompTugal's operations. That is the gap. I want a business partner as CEO who has run companies, ideally senior in news, and journalists who are at ease with data, code and agents.
What you get: a newsroom that already runs, where the agents do the repeatable work and the judgement is yours. When investment comes, everybody has a stake in the game and everybody is paid. Nothing is promised before then: only when somebody puts money on the table can you have a more serious conversation. And the best way in is to start now. If somebody is not interested enough to be involved right now, are they only going to flip when they have equity? I don't like that.
4. Publishers and media
What I ask: would you try this on one section? Not a migration: a pilot on one beat, for a fixed period, with your editors deciding what is published.
What you get: the section's pages, its data and a written account of what worked and what did not. No reader data to hand over, because we keep none. The industry has to change, and I would rather help than lecture.
5. The Algarve's and Portugal's bodies
What I ask: we are new here as a company. Which grants and programmes fit? Who should we meet? Whose event can we cover? And correct us: every page we publish about the region is meant to be corrected by the people it is about.
What you get: the region's technology story, told every day with sources, carried to Lisbon, to Europe and to the AI agents that answer people's questions. None of the organisations we list has endorsed us; we list them to say where we want to belong.
6. Builders
What I ask: fork it. Everything is open source. Then tell me what broke, what was confusing, and what you would have done differently.
What you get: everything. The repositories, the stack, the roadmap and the lessons. If you build in the open, we can both build on each other's work.
And this week: helpers
If you are free between 9 and 12 November, we need a back office for the summit, beside the seven of us on the floor. Unpaid, with your name on your work, from anywhere. You will learn a lot.
Why now
We are in the explorer phase: fast, uncertain, many experiments in public. Changing direction now costs an afternoon. Changing it after a round, a team and a year costs far more. Your feedback is worth most before the summit, not after.
Start at the investor site, promptugal.news/investors, where every page is organised by who you are. Then write to me through the contact page, or find me at Web Summit Lisbon, 9 to 12 November 2026.
