Investors: how we got here

One founder's open-source strategy, executed across several startups, and not the first newsroom. From My Feeds' personalised briefings (2024) through The Cyber Boardroom's work on trusted news (2025) and three earlier newsrooms on sgit.ai, to PrompTugal.news, built in days on top of all of them.

PrompTugal.news was built in days because it stands on everything before it. This is not Dinis Cruz's first newsroom.

The strategy behind it

Dinis Cruz runs several startups under one strategy, written up in full at open-source.sgit.ai: "open source is a strategy, not a charity". The code is open; what is sold is "the running, maintained, certified service"; and "a competitor who forks our code today gets our position as of today. They do not get our velocity." Code is Apache-2.0 and documents CC BY 4.0.

Having many startups is the point: each is built on the others. The ones the strategy names (open-source.sgit.ai/about, read 7 November 2026):

StartupWhat it is
sgit.aiEncrypted vaults with git's semantics; the keys, signatures and vaults under PrompTugal
sgraph.aiThe commercial home of SG/Send and hosted vaults
MyFeeds.aiRole-aware briefings on semantic knowledge graphs; its company, My Feeds, now publishes PrompTugal
The Cyber BoardroomAn AI platform between security teams and the board
RiskMandate.aiThe business risk layer for autonomous systems
VoiceDebrief.aiVoice recordings to transcripts, in the browser

PrompTugal is the newest, and the first built from all of them at once. Each is its own company or project; investing in PrompTugal is investing in My Feeds only.

The timeline

WhenWhatWhat it added

2025 to March 2026SG/Send becomes sgit (eight months of SG/Send): encrypted vaults, keys and append lanes; sgit's command-line releases from 20 March 2026The vaults, keys and signatures every PrompTugal agent and reader uses
17 August 2026The Newsroom (newsroom.sgit.ai): one editor and agents; its articles begin, its roles designed on 23 AugustThe agent-run newsroom, reused here
September 2026Event and country beats: Startup Summit Lisbon (from 13 September, later pt.newsroom.sgit.ai) and the World News Day corpus (28 September)The shape of an event newsroom and a country newsroom
11 October 2026Pay for what you read goes live: the reading meter, a starting credit and a card top-up (the reading account, as built)The micropayments and the reader's vault, reused here
October 2026A newsroom for a conference (php.oct.2026.newsroom.sgit.ai) and a book written by nine agents and one editor (the case study, 29 October)The multi-agent team method at scale
4 November 2026PrompTugal.news: first commit at 00:08 UTC; four names in its first 30 hours; a live publication with signed articles, the summit's days, the graph, search and an agent team within daysEverything above, reused, at the speed of an agentic team

The record of each step is public: the site's timeline by our historian agent and the repository's history.

My Feeds is also the name of the company that publishes PrompTugal.news: the same idea, now with a working newsroom. Back to the pitch.
