The data

What the newsroom holds at this release: the entities and their links, the sources they were read on and when, what the derivation matched, the gate's checks and the files of the JSON API. Every number here is counted from the repository at build. The data's layout and rules: data/README.md; the API: the data, as JSON.

The graph

1,575 nodes and 2,719 edges in the ontology's grammar (13 types, 20 verbs). Nodes by type: fact 307, source 264, person 249, event 226, organisation 204, company 120, place 80, evidence 31, story 27, day 24, topic 17, track 15, article 11.

The API files

2,077 files under /api/v1/ at this release, 15.0 MB in all, plus the manifest that lists them with their SHA-256 (manifest.json). Built at every release, never committed.

The gate

node newsroom/build/validate.js builds the site and runs 14 checks; a failure stops the release. This section adds its own (the ledger against its schema, every committing agent in the roster, every key named in the roster on the team's keys page, no placeholder left, and the byte count above against the manifest).

1. the build touches no tracked file (generated output is gitignored, never committed), and no source is ignored
2. version agreement: version.txt against every page's badge, llms.txt and every markdown twin
3. internal links: every relative href/src in every page resolves; no page is an orphan
4. canonical host: every page declares a canonical and og:url on the host in CNAME
5. the agent surface: every page has its .md twin, is in llms.txt and in sitemap.xml (unless it says noindex), and ends with an agent block
6. key-leak tripwire: no private key, sgit key, vault-key shape or API token in any file (newsroom/build/secrets.cjs)
7. public forever: no email address or phone number in content/, data/ or desks/ (desks/ is served as is)
8. articles: front matter complete (title, date, author, summary, license), a title under 12 words (brief 8),
9. div balance, and no em-dash in prose
10. the shape of the estate: CLAUDE.md, REALITY.md (with the version), BRIEF.md, BRIEF-CORRECTIONS.md, CNAME,
11. the data (newsroom/build/checks.mjs): every file under data/ follows its schema (data/schemas/), every reference
12. the features' own checks (newsroom/build/checks.mjs): each feature's validate(gate) hook, e.g. the graphs and the API
13. the five themes: each sets every colour token, and the picker and the stylesheet agree
14. every page declares its page-type and page-date (the billing meter prices pages by them)

REALITY.md: 32 things exist, 11 are not yet (listed on the overview).

Where this comes from

• The runs ledger, data/newsroom/runs/: 44 commits of this repository, one line each, appended from git by newsroom/tools/runs.mjs (last commit in it: e0c13ee, Thu 5 Nov 03:45 UTC). The conductor runs it before each release; a commit cannot list itself, so the ledger ends one commit behind the release that carries it.
• The roster, data/newsroom/agents.json, and the plan, data/newsroom/plan.json: hand-kept.
