In short
- A search of Web Summit's public session pages found 27 Brazil-tied speakers in 31 appearances: 7 officials, 2 journalists and 18 founders or team members.
- The officials speak on the main and masterclass stages: Serpro, the federal data service, São Paulo state and its investment agency, Invest Rio, and a speaker listed as Brazil's Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation.
- The founders are all in the Startup Showcase, among them two of Rio de Janeiro's ten.
- The Brazil Pavilion, stand E369, has its own programme from 10 to 12 November: pitch sessions every morning, panels and happy hours.
- No Brazilian venture firm was found among the speakers. The search could not cover the whole speaker list.

Founders in the Startup Showcase
Eighteen founders and team members from Brazilian startups appear in the Startup Showcase, on Stages 6 and 12. Their companies, as Web Summit lists them, are FM LABS Hairtech, Programe Studio, Ujamaatech, EMPREENDFY, Plantah, Agendart, Longevia, DUXlab, IseTool, Just Travel, ComuniClima, AME, Colega Médico, AllPetSenior, Gander Brasil, GLOBALD.ai, Bizuu and QualityStorm (Forlogic). Bizuu and AllPetSenior are two of the ten startups Rio de Janeiro flies to Lisbon (our article on Brazil's mission).
At the Brazil Pavilion, stand E369

|---|---|
| 10 November, 10:00 | The pavilion's official opening |
| 10, 11 and 12 November, mornings | Pitch sessions |

Around it: the German-Brazilian Startup Night (10 November, 17:30, Gale patio), "São Paulo meets the World" (11 November, 15:30, stand E176), a Brazil meetup (12 November, 12:00, Meetup 4) and a giant foosball game, Portugal against Brazil (11 November, 21:00, Pink Street).
A suggestion: investors looking at Brazil could start at the pavilion's morning pitch sessions; CISOs and public-sector readers could follow Serpro, whose leaders speak twice on 12 November.
What this does not claim
- The search is not complete. Web Summit's public speaker list shows its first 20 speakers a page; beyond the first pages it is behind a login, so the search worked from public session pages. More Brazilian speakers may be on the programme. Three speakers whose pages give no country were left out.
- "No Brazilian investor" means none was found in that search, not that none comes.
- Who is Brazilian is as Web Summit's pages tie each speaker to Brazil (organisation or country), not our judgement.
- Times can change. They are Web Summit's, read on 6 November; check the app on the day.
