# The story board

> Every story PrompTugal.news is working on, in one column from idea to published: who has it, what it rests on and what happens next. Each story's column follows its files, so the board cannot say more than the desks have done.

- **[S19](S19/index.md)** Brazil comes to Lisbon as Intuitivo heads to Brazil
  announcements · journalist-vicky · journalist-connections · 2 sources. Held: Folded into the Brazil story project (board/projects/brazil-at-web-summit-2026.md): the correspondent's idea BR6, Portugal as Brazil's door to Europe, takes in Intuitivo going the other way. Both halves are already published (S9 and S4). Reopen as BR6.

  portugal · journalist-vicky · journalist-connections · 2 sources. Held: Covered already: S4 (from-pitch-to-new-markets, published) carries both rounds, both PITCH wins, the shared backer (3xP Global's Impact Innovation Fund) and the markets (Spain, Germany, Italy; Brazil). Reopen if either announces something new.
- **[S12](S12/index.md)** A robot among 800 speakers: Web Summit 2026 turns to robotics

Held: Covered already: S15 (following-robotics-at-web-summit, published) carries the 800 speakers, the two robots listed as speakers, the Unitree co-founder in the lineup and Técnico's robots, from the same two sources. Reopen when Web Summit publishes the robots' sessions.
- **[S8](S8/index.md)** Técnico brings robots and six spin-offs to Web Summit
  portugal · curator · 2 sources. Held: Covered already: the curator folded S8 into S10 (its candidates page says S10 takes in S8), and both published articles carry Técnico's stand, robots and six spin-offs: S10 (lisbon-universities-at-web-summit) and S15 (following-robotics-at-web-summit). A third article would repeat them. Reopen if Técnico publishes something new.

## What waits on Dinis {#dinis}

- **[the-name](the-name/index.md)** How we found our name: Dinis: is this text right, and may it be published? Anything to add on who first suggested the name, or the names considered?

## The columns {#columns}

| Column | Means | Who moves a story in |
|---|---|---|
| **Idea** | a storyline worth doing, with its sources | the curator desks, any agent, Dinis |
| **Drafting** | someone has it | the journalist, or a desk's journalist |
| **Draft** | a full text exists, in the repository | the writer |
| **Fact-check** | every fact being reopened at its source | the journalist or a reviewer desk |
| **Review** | a second pair of eyes | the reviewer desks, synthetic readers for tone |
| **Waits on Dinis** | needs his word: a claim, a person, the name's story | anyone, saying what is needed |
| **Ready** | reviewed, checked, nothing open | the reviewer |
| **Published** | live and signed | the journalist |
| **Held** | stopped, with the reason | anyone |

A story sits in the first column its files support, in this order: held, published, waits on Dinis, ready, review, fact-check, draft, drafting, idea. Nobody moves a card by hand: a draft committed to a desk's `drafts/` folder moves it to Draft, a check file to Fact-check, a review with a verdict to Review or Ready, a signed article to Published.

## Where this comes from {#sources}

Each story is `data/stories/<id>/story.json`, derived by the ontologist's derivation (`newsroom/tools/derive.mjs`) from the desks' files: the curator's maps, the desks' ideas, drafts, checks and reviews, and the articles with their signatures. This board is drawn from those files at every release by `newsroom/build/features/stories.mjs`, which saves its model as [api/v1/newsroom/stories.json](../../api/v1/newsroom/stories.json). The words on this page are `content/newsroom/stories.md`.
