# Nine decks, one story: from the problem to the product

How PrompTugal's nine investor decks fit together, which one to read first for who you are, and the single best argument in each.

By Dinis Cruz · November 7, 2026 Nine decks, one story: from the problem to the product How PrompTugal's nine investor decks fit together, which one to read first for who you are, and the single best argument in each.
In the past day, a team of AI agents and I made nine slide decks about PrompTugal. Nine is a lot to ask anyone to read, so this is the guide: how they fit together, which one to open first, and the best argument each one makes.
They are all public, as slides and as PDFs, at promptugal.news/investors/decks .
 The arc
The decks tell one story in four movements.
The problem and the answer (decks 1 and 2). The news industry is looking in the wrong direction. We are not, and what we built is already running.
The proof (decks 3 and 9). Not a plan: the product, live, feature by feature, with screenshots of the site as it is today.
The company (decks 4 and 5). Where it comes from, the Algarve, in Portugal, in the European Union, and what an investor actually buys.
How it is possible, and who it needs (decks 6, 7 and 8). The technology that keeps a team of agents in control, the people we want to join, and an open invitation to copy all of it.
Deck by deck, with its best argument
 1. The investment case. The whole story in one deck, if you only read one. Its best line: others ask people to pay for future value; we let them have the value first. Readers come for the summit, find the talks they would have missed, and by the time they pay a few cents a page, they are already glad they did.
 2. The industry. Why news is stuck. "The news industry sells the one thing whose price is going to zero, the article." Its best argument is the bridge, from a simulation I wrote about a fictional town: when a local bridge closes, the paper leads with it five times, but readers need it on fifty-seven days. An article is written once. A maintained claim, kept current, is a service people will pay for, because it saves them time.
 3. The platform. Every feature, live: sourced and signed articles, the companies at the summit, the graph, search, an assistant that answers from the site, your own day at the summit, a reader's vault, micropayments and an iPhone and iPad app in internal beta. Its best argument is the architecture: no back end ever sees a reader. No IP, no cookie, no profile.
 4. The Algarve. Why a news company from Loulé. Its best argument is the flywheel: news is how a region gets noticed, and noticed, it grows.
 5. The investment. A seed round of under €1M buys equity in My Feeds, the company that publishes PrompTugal. Its best line: we are not raising to start; we are raising to go faster. It ends with the three questions any investor should ask: can this be a profitable business, can this company be bought in the future, is this the team to execute?
 6. The technology. About twenty agents for every person, and every one in its lane. Its best argument: capacity is cheap, control is not. Adding agents is easy; keeping them named, private and inside a written mandate is what makes this possible, and it is where sgit and RiskMandate come in.
 7. Join us. For the senior person from the news industry who has wanted to run a newsroom like this for years. It now runs. Come and lead it.
 8. Do it yourself. The killer deck, and my favourite. Everything is open source, so here are the repositories, the stack and the roadmap. Go and do it. Its best argument: the code is easy to copy; the execution is the moat.
 9. The tour. Do not take our word for it. A guided walk through the live site, stop by stop, in the order a reader meets it.
 Where to start
An investor: deck 1, then 5, then 9 to check we are real. Someone from the news industry: deck 2, then 7. A company that could give us a project, or a publisher: deck 3, then 8. The Algarve's and Portugal's bodies: deck 4. A builder or a sceptic: deck 8, then 6. Short on time: deck 9. It is screenshots.
 Why so many
Because the people we want to hear from are not one audience. An angel investor, a publisher, a journalist, a regional body and a developer each ask a different first question, and each deserves a deck that answers it rather than one that answers everybody's badly.
They were also made the way PrompTugal itself is made: by agents doing the repeatable work, with a person deciding. The site went from its first commit on 4 November 2026 to 426 releases by the 7th. The decks are versioned the same way, and they will change as you tell us what is wrong with them.
 Tell me what lands
This is the point of publishing them. I want to know which argument convinced you, which one did not, and what is missing. If a slide is wrong, I want to know that most of all.
Read the decks at promptugal.news/investors/decks , browse the rest of the investor site at promptugal.news/investors , and write to me through the contact page . Or find me at Web Summit Lisbon, 9 to 12 November 2026, and tell me in person.
